Protestant work ethic would also absolutely recognise taking care of your family as "work". In fact, it would recognise nearly anything that keeps you non-idle and isn't done purely for pleasure as work. The requirement to be

X2Go (the OSS fork of "nx - no machine") works really well over a network. Though I really think it might be best to do the rendering client-side and push video frames. Though I do concede that the two models are really two separa

X11 doesn't have native controls. The closest would be motif, or Xaw, but nobody sane uses those. GTK and Qt are both equally "native". Chrome uses its own GTK-derived UI lib, IIRC . As long as OP's ui implements accessi

Yes, but a lot more working-age adults today make it to 65 than 100 years ago, which is a relevant statistic. Previously you could count on a bigger portion of workers dying before reaching retirement, so you had a smaller pool of retirees

Ok, I stand corrected. However, at lower optimisation levels they do not inline memcpy calls, which might matter for you. It's never fun if the debug build is 10 times slower in a hot function...

A note of warning: memcpy and memmove are not optimized away on msvc and icc. That is, every call to those functions is always a function call. Contrast to gcc and clang which always inline those calls even in no-optimizations builds. To

In typical 9-17 jobs, 12 is definitely not the middle of the practical day. I don't know anyone whose sleep schedule puts 12 at the middle of their waking period either.
