Oh, yeah. I'm not prescriptive about never replatforming. You just shouldn't do it without a very compelling reason and a lot of consideration. If you've got a dozen microservices written in a mix of ColdFusion, Salesforce, s

Nobody needs to justify not replatforming, regardless of the involved tech. It's just a sane default. It's when an org _does_ decide that rebuilding their existing property on a different stack that justification is in order.

Ha! This is the fun thing about HN. Thank you for ox-hugo; it’s the only thing that’s worked for me at all to enable blogging even rarely (my habits are a total mess)

I'm rather a fan of [ox-hugo]( https://ox-hugo.scripter.co/ ) for similar purpose. There's more to understand upfront, but since the output target is Hugo, you can modify/eject from Org with zero effort.

That would be the case if the bulk of the cost was being used to address negative externalities that are currently absorbed by the commons. As things stand, high prices are just high profits. Taxes are the same or lower.

Anecdotally, I have two young kids in daycare, and everyone’s been sick more often than not since January. Frequent Covid swabs all come back negative.

Tl;dr: it’s easy to prevent a debate on an issue with “the data isn’t in” if you systematically prevent the data from being collected. Worked for tobacco and sugar companies, too.

Especially true for any sort of note taking/reference tool. If I’m on the hook for a subscription to access part of my brain, that is a _problem_. Edit: granted, Muse looks gorgeous and I don’t mind paying for things. Just echoing subs

I really enjoyed Hades, which is a lot more story-heavy than it looks from the outside. Historically loved stuff like Braid (hence "borderline pretentious") and happily replayed, but there's fewer recent titles on my radar he
