Often I think about how the intonations in my voice are being recorded and stored and analyzed by somebody. //=====// "Hey GOOOGLLLE, play! NPR!" -- me annoyed that Google Home like to switch it up sometimes --

I use my Google home to get recipes. Its pretty sweet because it cuts the cruft completely. Someone needs to build a nice recipe web scraper for Wordpress :)

Recipes are not copyright-able.. so technically the Wordpress recipe site I made my mother is also open-source. The website uses zero custom code and was very quick to assemble from open-source components. I installed Delicious Recipes on i

The dark irony is that white supremacists are allowed to fly, they are just followed and watched. The FBI is a joke. They appear to be both incompetent (911, Capitol insurrection, Malheur Wildlife Refuge occupation) and at the same time hea

The president od my small local hospital is paid $985,000 per year. I looked it up. My local hospital also cuts lots of corners to save a buck. I know some nurses who work there. They understaff while they overcharge patients and play absur

In Thailand, the hospital lobby has printed brochures with all the prices. It reads like a menu. I can't wait to return there and be a medical tourist again! The facilities and level of care was superior to my local dive of a hospital

It's a racket and that is why the industry does everything it can to avoid having to adhere to basic capitalism. There is no other industry like it except, perhaps, the mafia.

The correct answer to the motivation question is not a single solution, but a holistic one. Motivation and mild depression can be easily conflated.

Look up the salary of your local hospital president. In my medium town of (Pop 200K) they pay him $980k per year. That is an absurd salary for a relatively small hospital!
