Such numbers are called "normal numbers". Pi likely is one based on all the digits we've computed for it, but we don't have any way to prove a given number like pi is normal or not. Relevant Numberphile video: https:&#x

You can disable most of these things in user.js. See https://github.com/arkenfox/user.js (née ghacks.net user.js) for an example. The next problem is FF generates random profile names by default ( ~/.mozilla/

You can start the server as a user session service if you have a service manager for that, like systemd, instead of needing to do it manually. For systemd specifically, tmux also supports socket activation for the server since some time ago

Maybe. From what I know of sbctl I think it would be fine for a beginner, but I can't say for sure because I use my own custom setup, not sbctl.

jemalloc also has its own funny problem with threads - if you have a multi-threaded application that uses jemalloc on all threads except the main thread, then the cleanup that jemalloc runs on main thread exit will segfault. In $dayjob we u

The mimalloc crate just provides the GlobalAlloc impl that can be registered with libstd as the global allocator using the `#[global_allocator]` attr. The underlying sys crate provides the binding for mimalloc API like `mi_collect`: https:

And even if one wants to use dependencies not available as a distro devel package (or as a fallback to missing distro devel package), things like meson and cmake make it relatively straightforward to use vendored dependencies.

Is it the logical end that we have custom cores everywhere? Yes RISC-V is open and relatively straightforward to implement (coincidentally I did just that over the weekend in a circuit simulator game), but I can also see economies of scale

Any company which goes to the lengths of setting up an IRC server would find it trivial to also set up a bouncer and search index for that server. That said, these days a Matrix Synapse instance would be an easier choice.

PinePhone SoC (Allwinner A64) does have the hardware needed for verifying boot via TBBR. It's just that no person or distro uses it for that because the key can only be written once. Also IIRC it's vulnerable to bus snooping.
