Not that it absolves the owner of the site, but Readability mode is built just for sites like this. Still doesn't help the gifs though.

If you don't enforce your copyright or trademark, you lose it. That's likely what this is: Some lawyer saw that DoomRL was using Zenimax property and got all excited about it.

Glasses are a total racket. Purchasing your glasses online is many, many times cheaper than going to Lenscrafters or basically any other brick & mortar store in the US. I've been buying online for years and they're every bit

Dick's is just a regional (Seattle-area) fast-food burger chain, vaguely similar to In-N-Out. They make really good, cheap burgers (for fast food), have incredibly greasy fries, support the community and all that good small local busin

A lot of people keep their work on these on GitHub, a quick search should turn up solutions for at least the first few sets in any language you care to name. That said, if you want to get value out of these, don't look at someone else&

We do use a self-hosted version of GitLab for some of our projects at work (CE I think), and GitHub for others - which one depends on which team you're on. I only didn't mention that we use GL at work since I have no input into t

Given that it's effectively key->key->value, I'm guessing Cassandra for the main backend. The data model fits very well, and it would give you the kind of scalability you would need for this sort of thing.

For what it's worth, it does aim to be (mostly) compatible with the Sublime Text Python API[0]. The base editor is written in Go, but the plugins are Python (much like Sublime itself is C++, but uses Python plugins). That said, I woul

Thanks - I was confused by this too. Also, do you just need to open the PRs, or do they have to be merged before Oct. 31? Also also, what's to stop me from making an empty project and opening 4 pull requests against it just to get the

Yes, browser password storage is really poorly secured. For what it's worth, a Chrome staffer explained on this very site[0] their reasoning, but that doesn't really sit too well with me - in my opinion, browsers should either go

Yes, it's quite common for Elixir libraries to provide blocking calls. If your program is well-designed though, the calling process will be "blocked" but other processes will be executing at the same time. So having a process
