It doesn't implement some x86 in hardware, it implements some memory ordering guarantees in hardware to match what x86 requires. However that is a very minor implementation, there is no actual x86 in Apple's ARM. https:/&#x2

I believe the description is wrong. There is no RS-485 serial port on these devices, at least not what I can find in the manual/wiring diagrams. There's just the isolated pulse output.

My old house had a meter that could be read by rtlamr but the new one has a newer meter that sends encrypted data back over some proprietary mesh network, and no longer provides that data in cleartext. I wish there was an open standard and

There likely is an off the shelf OIDC SP provider you can use for the actual "hard parts". If you already use something like "Sign in with {Google,Facebook,Twitter,Apple}" you are already doing part of it. I have built s

Google Sign-In is locking people to using Google's infrastructure. If an SMB has already deployed using Azure you don't get access using SSO, instead you have to fall back to username/password? Adding support for OIDC is not

That shouldn't mean that you lock the feature out for customers that do have someone that can troubleshoot it/get it up and running without help. Lock support for SSO up behind a paywall, not the actual feature.

SMB's are the customers of products that offer SSO but only at the enterprise level. CISA is arguing that the enterprise level of the software SMB's need to operate is too expensive and thus SMB's don't end up buying a l

They aren't conflating anything. OIDC or SAML should not be "taxed" extra. I do work for a number of small businesses and they can't afford the "enterprise cost" for things, so there is a shared password vault

The SMB is the customer, they should already have a single place for all their users and for authentication. SSO doesn't have to be Google, Azure, Okta, PingFederate, you can run a stand-alone instance of Keycloak for instance and have

I feel like a lot of the issues are also due to Azure making it vastly more difficult than necessary to configure OIDC/SAML and get the right information over to the SP.
