The flaw in your reasoning is that Matrix is like the web, and Element is like a browser. Just as mainstream folks don’t say “go look at my Chrome site”, but are smart enough to say “go look at my website with your web browser”, the same go

Basically: we haven’t been able to just stop Synapse dev because there are tonnes of people using it, and it’s ended up being a mature solution in the end. So we switched emphasis on Dendrite to be for embedded homeservers instead. Once Den

Element Android’s UI performance problems are thanks to using Realm as a single source of truth and then calling it synchronously rather than async - this is being fixed currently irrespectively of sliding sync or element x etc. For fast re

So “worlds” in Third Room are simply glTF scenes which are sent as a file into Matrix - so in theory anything which can export glTF can author them. We’re putting together pipelines/tutorials to do high quality exports from Unity and B

Totally agreed in all of the above. The redesign which is about to land on Element iOS & Android fixes room list ordering, fixes floating action buttons, and could turn on bubbles by default for DMs. Meanwhile Jitsi is about to get repl

Have you ever considered that your constant FUD against Matrix just ends up hurting open communications in general? How about putting your energy into improving XMPP rather than constantly whining about the existence of Matrix. Matrix is pr

Matrix servers store the conversation history for their local users. The message contents (for e2ee rooms) are e2e-encrypted. The metadata (which user sent it where and when and to who) is not currently encrypted or obfuscated. We'r
