This makes me wonder why NT's minimum requirements were six times those of Windows 3.1's. Both 3.1 and NT 3.1 had essentially the same front-end, to my knowledge, so was NT's back-end just that vastly more inefficient than DOS?

Many students at my (non-US) university use Wolfram Alpha for graphing, simplification of formulas and similar every day, yet most have no idea that Mathematica even exists. If Wolfram wants Wolfram Alpha to drive sales of Mathematica they

How do professional movie productions do this? For example the Winklevoss brothers in The Social Network both had the face of one of the actors.

It's not called the "Slovak Republic", but rather just Slovakia. The proper name of the neighbouring Czech Republic is just that instead of something like "Czechia", but this is not true for Slovakia.

Questioning whether Taiwan is a developed country is disingenuous -- its GDP (PPP) per capita, which is the statistic that matters, is about 34,000 USD, about the same as a typical country in Western Europe, and higher than South Korea. Tha

Google Search doesn't appear at all if I do the search on Google.no. Yahoo comes first, followed by Bing and search.com. Twitter, AOL and 4shared (a file sharing site) are all on the list, and so is "Google Insights for Search". I wonder if
