To add, certain concerns still stand since the Web crypto API is extremely limited in capabilities (Example it doesn't support secp256k1). However on the bright side performance.now() has a much worse resolution on most browsers, makin

Actually I really like the network interface thing, it can allow a lot more control over the device than a block storage interfact will provide. This is one of the first things you do when you jailbreak your kindle, it allows you to ssh

Exactly! "Oh no now I will have to use a illegal app to commit my illegal activities". Banning encryption doesn't stop bad actors from communicating over encryption, it just adds to the number of illegal things they did.

yes I agree, however as a student working with LaTeX for the first time, instant preview is awesome, it allows me to instantly see what my changes do to the preview, and greatly increases productivity when I'm not sure what I am doing

Honestly I feel like this is the most practical way, Bluetooth modules are readily available in that form factor, just turn it on only after a certain key press on the watch (call it upload mode).

This looks like a classic DPI based blocking. My university had one and it was freaking annoying. Apparantly OpenVPN TLS handshake is subtly different from mainstream ones that DPI firewalls can know the difference. In the end I found the e

Unfortunately people fall for them! Yes it's perplexing, but look at any shitcoin, they literally have no utility most of the times, and solely capitalize on people's fear of missing out on the next coin that "goes to the moo

Yes, but it means companies don't have to comply with the laws (since they're outside their jurisdiction), and the burden falls on the government to find a way to block their citizens from connecting to the VPN servers. Which migh

I would also like to mention FlareSolverr [1] here, which just uses a headless browser to solve the challenges, which might be acceptable in some situations (that don't need high request rate) 1. https://github.com/Flar

Stardew Valley! It's extremely fun, specially if you have a partner to play with. Feels like a get out from all the worldly stress. I would buy a steam deck just to play it, even though i don't have any other use for one.

I'm a little confused here, but I thought 2fa was a combination of something I know (A password) and something I have (A authenticator). So a attacker getting access to your computer is same as them getting access to your authenticator

I think your second point clearly explains OPs problems with CloudFlare, they're not asking you to move off Cloudflare, they themselves do not like it's core values, and would rather use some other CDN.

Well even then only a small amount of hashpower can migrate to ETC, cause at that point it won't be profitable enough to mine ETC (because of it's lower marketcap/price/demand). Either way yeah, it isn't stopping mi

Oh, I was a bit unclear there. The 9.9% was of the total money that was raised in the ICO (60m) and ended up being ~5.9m. The total initial premine was 72m (~59% of today's supply). I think someone more knowledgeable might provide a be
