Why are you looking so hard for an "evil" reason or ulterior motives for it? Companies doing good things brings good PR. That could just be it.

I don't think this happens in all apps though. I didn't realize Firefox still behaved this way because I use it on macOS more.

My gripe with FF on Mac is the lack of support for autocorrect. While I can live without autocorrect, this also means my text expansions (stuff like shrug -> ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) don't work in FF but work in basically any other text bo,

Is there any truth to this? I have noticed battery life vary from 100% depending on if I use a different charger. But it only really happens when I travel, so I chalked it up to different usage patterns or climates.

That's kinda the opposite. The brands somehow had your info (from accounts you may have created with them, for instance), which they explicitly imported into Facebook specifically to show ads to you etc.

That was in 2010. As someone pointed out, this is likely meant to comply with this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Data_Protection_Regula... The law goes into effect in May 2018.

People on H-1B move companies all the time. The new employer simply has to file for a new H-1B visa that is not cap-exempt and is not subject to any lottery this time around. As soon as the documentation is filed (even before approval), the
