You can just read the page linked in the GP about gun spending. It's exceedingly obvious that they have a strong viewpoint on the issue.

It's worth point out that AB5 passed 61-16 in the state house, a 79 percent yay vote. So with your proposed 3/4 supermajority it could still be overruled by the legislature. And of course this means 2/3 is even less of a hurd

You lose the voting rights as well. Users on brokerages typically agree to this when signing up. Some have opt outs but you may lose features being subsidized by the brokerage having the ability to lend shares.

I highly highly recommend reading Ranjan Roy's latest piece on GameStop [1]. It paints an amazing picture to dispel the narrative that's prevalent in the media of Reddit et al. driving the short squeeze. Just as an example from th

What you've said is great. I'd just like to add that the idea that Reddit is holding strong is actually wrong already. Although all over the net you only see people posting about HODL and [rocket emoji] [rocket emoji] GME to infin

First of all, hedge funds and banks are very different institutions. Banks hold and invest money in more secure ways, hedge funds usually pursue more aggressive strategies in order to hopefully get returns that are uncorrelated with the gre

There was no bailout here of the clearinghouses, and in fact your line of argumentation supports them. If you want institutions to be able to avoid getting liquidated for cents on the dollar or bailed out by the government, you need to also

The truth of the matter is that hedge funds and institutions are quietly the ones actually pumping these stocks. Reddit likes to paint a narrative that they are in control, but when their messiah has 50MM max of securities and options, mean

As I said, they made a painful exit but they were able to get out. If there was a real squeeze going on, their losses would have been eye-watering and far far over 100% of their assets. In 2008, Volkswagen became the most valuable company i

I agree with this post. Although the narrative being spun on WallStreetBets and co wants you to believe in a short squeeze, it doesn't seem like any shorts were actually squeezed. This morning, Melvin Capital and Citron successfully ex

This is already the case. Arch has python for python 3 and python2 for python 2. It's the opposite on Ubuntu and most other distros.

I look forward to the EFF and the ACLU getting their pages shut down then. Even they've come out and stated that we should be chilled with Parler's shutout. Oh wait, we all know that won't happen.

FWIW Wikipedia lists that number of users as of November 2020. It had a huge influx of users in December and obviously January, to the point that it was number 1 in the App Store before it got pulled. So the 4MM user number is probably very

I think the extracting of the data will definitely go to court as a violation of the CFAA. The publishing of the data might also fall under the DMCA but it sounds less plausible to me. I'm not a lawyer so take this with a grain of salt
