The key to x86 assembler/machine code was avoiding the software interupts as they were painfully slow. Sure, when you are dealing with a 512byte boot sector you are better of offloading as much code as you can to software interupts, bu

Wow, 1673 cracked software, all with expired copyright. This is an amazing preservation achievement. Love the automation part and am a bit curious to how hard this would be to port to another 6502 machine (yes, c64)?

My main consern is what will happen to projects hosted that MS would consider questionable repos, such as rootkits for consoles, open source drivers for their own proprietary hardware.. I expect a lot of data to be purged.

If they could afford it they would kill it off in favor of Bitbucket (probably name it BitHub), stagnate development of services, lock it into Bamboo build envs.. Hating MS with a passion, i still prefer MS to have bought Github.

I noticed some shortcomings in ifconfig (only shows the first ip assigned to an interface if a NIC has many) so in some senses i see why it had to be updated, by i see no logical reason why both the command and the syntaxes had to change? W

I could have really used this feature when editing php back in the day.. Now, not so much. It's mildly amusing that such a trival feature took this long.

As i got my new Sony Z5 a year back i had a look on the resource usage i had on my old Z1. Any app that consumed amounts of bandwidth and/or battery was never installed/uninstalled on the new phone. This made me drop the facebook

I second this. All laptops i bought lately are 2nd hand thinkpads. You cant get more bang/quality for the buck. A new battery and a large SSD are generally the only things that go into it.

I think they are barking up the complete wrong tree with Facebook. Facebook isn't an ISP and should not be treated like one. Some congressmen question Facebooks EULA stating: "Do you think people read it before agreeing?" Sho

I find it ridiculous that a company that runs a web-community should be held accountable for what it's users do, while weapons manufacturers are not. Why not just hold the people that breached their terms and conditions responsible lik

Wanted to respond to this for a week but been home, sick as a dog and didn't have my HN credentials. This is spot-on, and next step IS a mill :) It's a bit scary how close you got. hehe. I updated my post with the last few pieces

Update: A few safety concerned readers mentioned: Top speed: My aim (until he is older) is 7-10km per hour, but with a torque that allows burnouts and donuts. A safety cage might become part of the build, just because better safe than sorry
