The AI video call feature is kinda neat, even though it's pretty buggy.

It sounds like that's still a step up from Copilot. I know Gemini has more advanced features in Docs and they rolled something out for Sheets. I would bet GWorkspace keeps gaining ground on the functionality battle.

There were six versions of Windows Mobile before the iPhone hit and they still couldn't do anything.

Stupid question: Why not transfer the heat to some kind of material and then jettison that out to space? Maybe something that can burn itself out and leave little material behind?

I kind of want to play it out though... if someone did do this (for whatever reasons), what would the real benefits even be? Something terrestrial operations wouldn't be able to catch up to in 5-10 years?

A Steam Deck is also X times more powerful. The decision-making here involved more passion than logic, clearly. And that's good. :)

They're not dead ends per se because their purpose is growing the characters and revealing more of them to the audience. The movie streamlines and speed runs all that, for better or worse.

It got me motivated! I downloaded Godot and I'm gonna do something with all those level designs I made years ago... Reading OP comment made it clear how little excuse I really have.

It's nice, Linux being an open platform, that if something isn't on Steam you can just install GOG and get it there.

> It would be so nice if they just forked a commit from ~2005 and started from there. I would say 2009. Vista's troubled driver era was necessary, and Windows 7 was pretty awesome.

My guess is they're cozier with publishers now than 20 years ago when they fought all the way to SCOTUS. "Hey, remove search?" "OK, it was costing money anyways."

This is really what's going to kill OpenAI. Gemini bundled in Workspace is pretty good and seems to be making big leaps constantly. Some really smart integration points.

That honestly doesn't seem too bad. Zelda 1 is relatively large but it reuses a lot of assets and honestly probably doesn't have that much text. (More than a Mario but way less than a Dragon Warrior.)

The best way to fix a problem is to bring it into the light, not pretend it doesn't exist. "Security by obscurity" has been debunked for decades. If our system is so flawed Snowden's leaks would have blown everything up,
