Absolutely. Buy multi-GB game, watch it download quickly at gigabit speeds, be able to play it two minutes later. Can't do that on 80Mbps.

Google Maps is excellent for bus planning for me. Depends on your local bus company feeding times in to them though.

Sadly yes. Some bus companies are very reliable (traffic jams permitting), but there are definitely times when they aren't, and I've used rural routes where the hourly bus might just not turn up, which makes them completely infeas

That sounds like you could have a situation where the developer wants me to run the app, and I want to run the app, but nobody at the distro I use has packaged up the app, so we're blocked.

Aah. Certainly over here in UK and Europe most people are using solar to reduce their usage of the grid but they're nowhere near going self-reliant, so they're still using the grid (and paying towards it).
