Same here, when I downloaded the app today I had "huddles" waiting, where people had been chatting. I like that they did it this way. If you don't know you're missing out, you don't really care... then when you finally get it and jump in, y

That's pretty much the only thing that is holding me back at the moment. I've already completely switched to using G+ over FB (I was lucky to get my entire immediate social circle in quite early so we all switched), and the only thing missi

Hardcopy is 40c more than ebook? $9.99 for ebook, $10.39 for physical. Digital pricing for books is really starting to get to me. It makes absolutely no sense why a digital version can cost nearly as much (and sometimes more) than a physica

Yeah Slashdot started it for me too (well IRC, but website-wise the first was Slashdot). I'm a high school drop-out (now 31) who somehow managed to make a comfortable career off web development and IT project management thanks almost entire

Absolutely. It would be quite easy to do UI-wise, you can already select either "Stream" for the whole thing or an individual Circle. Just let us click on multiple Circles at once. Then add a setting somewhere to multi-select your default

If you "Invite" people they don't need to do the captcha or verification, Gmail "trusts" them to be human because they got referred by an existing user.

That's just because the Lulzsec/Anon stuff is the "flavour of the month" for the media lately. "The news" is not a reliable source of frequency for an activity, as they go through phases with what their favourite topic is for that period of

In Australia: You need to register either as a sole trader (get an ABN) or register a company (PTY LTD, with an ACN). The first is free, but you can't have employees and you have no personal protection from anything that happens to your bus

An API would be amazing. Could make a service that tells you if any of your Flickr/dA/Picasa photos are being used anywhere else on the web, etc. I'd pay good money for that service (as a photographer who has had photos stolen/used-without-

Not sure about the "take a picture of your boarding pass" bit, I think a better way would be "email go@goingtobe.in with the city and country in the subject line, and you'll be emailed info about that place", similar to how Posterous does t

Pretty much agree with the above, but would like to add: "and event twitter or facebook." ("event" should be "even") "for you to access anytime" (missing full stop at end) I also didn't come away from it understanding what exactly the app d

I used to swear by multiple monitors, but work took back my secondary monitor then I "adopted" a 30" HP that wasn't being used, and am now 100% converted to using a single large monitor and loving it. The fact that I can scatter differently

Someone needs to buy this purely for the branding, to create a new (and proper) Facebook competitor. Create something with multiple personas (so I can have a Work persona, Personal persona, Family persona, and Public persona), and do all th

I'm pretty sure redditors would be more than happy to deal with a day or so extra downtime as you guys switched to a better platform. Just leave a simple page up saying "Dumping Amazon, brb"... doubt you'd get many complaints.

I've done a fair bit with PHP but never to the point of writing my own projects, just modifying/tweaking existing stuff (my days are mostly filled with WordPress and Drupal sites, and some custom made PHP/MySQL apps). I'm definitely open to

RoR is one that obviously comes up a lot in discussions, but i've always been turned off by it due to PHP based stuff being so much easier to set up on a server (and to run multiple projects parallel to each other on a mix of frameworks). R

I've spent today reading through a lot of the suggestions in the comments here, and node.js definitely looks exciting to me (not sure why, maybe because i'm familiar with JavaScript already so it's not so "alien" looking?)... Will play with

Agreed, although a lot of my indecisiveness comes from the fact that every single site I read talking about languages/frameworks, all swear that one is better than the other, and not to use 'x' over 'y', and then the next site you visit say

I got excited by the title, as I misunderstood it to mean that we would actually see the images the drone took (the photos of the drone are still interesting though).

We see way too many splash-pages submitted lately that somehow still get voted up, but yet show no details of what they do, no working demo, or any way of us to try it out to provide any feedback.
