Remember that even the Star Trek utopia only happened after a nuclear WW3 that started in 2026 and lasted for 30+ years.

I'm of two minds about this. I get more done with LLMs. I find the work I do assisted by LLM less satisfying. I'm not sure if I actually enjoyed the work before, or if I just enjoyed accomplishing things. And now that I'm off

Compared to everything else it feels pretty minor but I'm fairly worried about the handheld retro gaming market. I really enjoy it as a hobby but it seems like almost all of those devices will no longer be profitable / worth buyin

You know this already but the reason nintendo doesnt release their games on other systems is so you have to buy the system. I bought a switch. I didnt think I'd buy a switch 2 but damn it if I didnt just see the new mario kart and thin

I toss "10OFF" into almost every promo box when I buy something. Works at least 25% of the time. When it does I try "20OFF" and that works as well like 5% of the time.

I think the shock for the youtubers was replacing their affiliate "link" (token whatever the correct term is). Everything else seemed... minor and expected. That was the one that surprised me.

In another world of reviews... Copilot can now be added as a pr reviewer if a company allows/pays for it. I've started doing it right before adding any of my actual peers. It's only been a week or so and it did catch one smal

AI is the new, “Algorithm”. It is an overly broad term that basically means, “Technology” to people who use it.

The phrase temporarily embarrassed millionaires is even more true for tech workers than most Americans. Especially for any who have entrepreneurial dreams or who are at start-ups for the stock options. The carrot is right there...

I've got one friend who was gifted a house when he graduated from college. He works a similar type of job and makes a similar salary to the other members of our friend group, but the gift of the house, given from his wealthy parents, m

I'm sure there is! What is the best way to find it? I'd likely google some type of query to find out if it exists and how I might use it. Anything more than one query/line of text and one click is more than it would take to g

I get your sentiment, but I work 40+ hours a week as a swe. I write plenty of code. I don't see how writing a loop with some conditionals and regex would be beneficial. It is something that is not difficult to do, but would take time.
