Whether or not I'm a gay hermaphrodite, I was responding to a post about advice to young people, and saying what I wish I knew as a young person was relevant. In my case, this would have been to ignore pretentious fuckwads who say how diffi

Ok, your personality and self is such that just by acting naturally women are attracted to you. Congratulations, you get yours, Jack. It just isn't so with me. I have one personality with everyone, women, men, pets, kids, who-fucking-ever.

There's not that much to say. I'm a below average looking guy who used to be able to attract a woman and now, as far as I've been able to tell over the last few years, I'm universally rejected romantically and sexually. I've been reading th

For me, this advice is basically useless bullshit. Being a kid sucked. Freedom is more than worth all of the advantages. Adulthood isn't hard. Making money isn't that hard either. If you can't find a more valuable way to spend free time in

Writing "a + condition * (b - a)" is just a math cheat to make a ternary operator. So isn't this a conditional itself?

I don't know why you need to be rude and condescending. I don't know much about these things, but cursory research shows that these are at least good questions: http://www.epjournal.net/filestore/ep08244259.pdf "It does deplete glucose" s

I think it's really easy to confuse "cute" with "more productive", and the vast majority of attempts at creating DSLs are the former. I think very few are worth their weight, since it seems I always eventually have to be aware of their exac

The argument that "the brain knows better" seems very weak. The brain also wants people to over consume fast food, reward itself with alcohol and drugs, and several other things which obviously aren't rewarding in the context of modern soci

I'm wondering if it's ever been shown that doing something mentally difficult consumes more energy than doing something where the brain is active but that isn't perceived as difficult? Another explanation could be that the precursor to grin
