Last time I needed it even their cleanup tool didn't manage to completely remove everything. We ended up reinstalling the whole machine to fix it.

Yep exactly, "critical social infrastructure" is on point. Here almost everyone is on WhatsApp and some are on messenger, meanwhile the other apps are only used by a few. Last year I even had to register on FB to not be out of the

If your need of encryption is related to backups, look into "Borg backup". It can handle both encryption and zstd, also do dedupe natively since it's storing data as blocks.

And the worst is if you try to raise concerns about cloudflare now it get brushed of as "cf already proxy half the internet, if it goes down our stuff will be minor concern".

Something interesting about being forced to use the "FranceConnect" OpenID service for adult websites is it's what we use in France to connect official taxes, health insurance, retirement and car registration website. It also

Seeing how Epic was caught uploading a copy that file (also contain friend list and wish list) for untold purpose (officially to import friends while bypassing steam api). I don't think they deserve any praise.

I'm convinced it is less and less possible (for countries using modern tech). Long range radars maybe still don't get high precision reading but short range ones can definitely see enough to get a lock.

If I recall right from previous thread they can still create and commit to public repo but can't delete them. They also can't touch even their own private repo anymore.

With some friends we are still using rtmp for our own little game stream server. It's the only way we managed to have very low latency (1-2s). But this is also a little annoying to be forced to use flash to open the stream. I wonder if

Are you using Canvas Blocker or similar extensions ? As a FF user I also have to go thru 3-4 captcha everywhere and I'm pretty sure it's because the system is having trouble giving me a stable fingerprint.

One of RG major role was allowing local informations to go upstream so that politics knew what was going on outside of their ivory tower. Since they were operating using local branches it was a sure way to get first hand informations. Of co

It's infuriating how they slow their stuff on Firefox but send optimized stuff to IE/Edge. Gmail is still okay once past the 2-3s loading but on YT it really test your patience every time you click on something.

Some subjects touched anywhere on Reddit are huge instant bot/PR magnet. On top of my head I can think of: Fracking, Glyphosate (or anything related to Monsanto/Endocrine Disruptor), Turkish Politics.
