ITT bashing on EU without understanding it I believe the 17 signing nations are allowed to inject money into their own economy. Even if the goals are a bit unrealistic. EDIT The 2-3 years is when the funds are allocated. Not when the result

So 1% pays 46% of the taxes. Do they own more or less than 46% of the total capital? Because if they own more than 46% they should be paying more taxes. It doesn't matter that they are only 1% of people. What matters is how much they o

Design Patterns are a massive code smell. I always prefer simple code over extensible over-engineered frameworks.

That's the difference between an MMU and MPU. The first (MMU) adds virtual memory to the story, while the second (MPU) simply protects certain areas of memory. https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/whats-difference-between-mmu-

I'm pretty sure we aren't going to do any of these things. Humanity will just keep pillaging the planet, as is tradition. F you, got mine.

A bit of topic but: I write a lot of C and lately I've been using 'bool' as my error handling type. This probably sounds stupid to many people, but I'm a minimalist. If a function has an error -> return false. In the

This could simply be done as an iterator over a string. Why all the fancy schmancy C++ features? EDIT: I'm starting to suspect it actually is just an iterator. So why not say that? Instead of mentioning the ranges library, coroutines,

It's the same in Belgium. At some point half of the deaths came from care homes. Here they even restrict workers to a certain floor or area in the care homes.

Is this a trick question? You mutate the state, of course.

I don't know what your point is here. When you do IO, even in Haskell, you will be mutating state in the outside world. Also know that many functional languages, especially the lisps, will allow you to mutate state in a closure.

Global heating because of greenhouse gasses is an existential threat to society. It is the biggest threat we have ever faced (on par with nuclear war). And we are losing, big time.
