Wow. Surely Yelp can pick up on a continuous, consistent pattern of negative reviews. The hard part is staying one step ahead of less-legitimate accounts. There's always somebody trying to cheat the system, and stopping these users often re

Internet was a general statement on my part, since corrected. It will be interesting to see how the "unlink" plays out in the indictment.

At least in the banks I deal with, there is a huge difference between what is considered core, and peripheral services that 1) rarely hold sensitive data, if any; 2) never hold the master and 3) are not part of the day to day banking experi

I have to give Google props on this one. I've spent a lot of time selling tech platforms / programs to the larger banks in North America. Speaking bluntly, most of the adoption is being driven by a struggle to keep the lights on, vs. a natu

Another issue with the 18 month coop is that, at least from the UW students I speak to, most go with startups. All of the UW students I personally speak to are receptive of doing a coop with a startup. It is significantly harder for startup

I agree that commissions can generally be corrosive (and are a hallmark of lazy management, generally speaking), but I have to wonder how this would work in larger teams. In smaller teams (when managed well, and with the right talent), the

Right or wrong, this has to be due to the repackaging of content and charging for it. Perhaps the response would be different if the app was free? Excluding radios (which don't repackage in the same way, but I understand the authors point)

I like the idea of pledging, though there may be some variance (what if a startup violates a startup, margin is high, the technical innovation was real, etc?) That being said, there is a lot to be said in simplicity. I'm no lawyer - I have

Very curious to see how long this agreement is for. I'd be concerned for Zynga if there was not pre-built renewal clauses.
