In my anecdotal experience, the business axes a position and downgrades responsibilities to a lower title. So what a Sr. DBA did before would go to a regular DBA or even a Jr. DBA. It doesn't matter what the prevailing wage for a title

H1Bs are not meant for immigration. Their purpose is to fulfill a void in the highly educated work force by employing a temporary, foreign worker. I think his point has some validity since H1Bs can replace local workers with lower paying H1

This app pretty much goes against everything Apple is trying to achieve with 'Privacy First'. Personally, I would have never used it because routing all traffic through their vpn seems malicious in itself, but a non-tech savvy use

That was my first thought when all these shenanigans went down. I think there is still an argument for security- we're currently well versed in android but that isn't the case for whatever closed source Huawei OS that comes out.

Not necessarily. I use both apps. I'm sure a lot of other people do too. More people would use Lyft if it's the cheaper option (and not surging like Uber would be in this scenario).
