I have no data to back it up but if YC interview setup is even slightly inspired by the YC video guidelines [1] then being genuine is better than having scripted answers for everything. Of course there is a point for balance and being unpre

At one point I'm probably moving to vert.x to use SockJS server-side [1], I'm not that tied to python and would be good to decouple the whole messaging into a separate process anyway. [1] http://vertx.io/core_manua

My understanding is that if websockets go through TLS encryption then it works alright over cellular networks. Plain websocket is what causes most of the problems. Is there another issue to be aware of?

Are most of the Socket.IO users using node at the server side? I started using Socket.IO with python server, gevent-socketio (actually Flask-SocketIO that is based on gevent-socketio). But then the Socket.IO 1.0 came out 28 May 2014 and gev

Latest official release is 2.0.2, released 8 July 2013. 2.0.1 was released 14 July 2012. 3.x has been in beta since 29 January 2013 without a non-beta release. I think this is what signals stalling for many users. Yes, the assumption is tha

If the daily work is built around being in the flow and rhythm then mental muscle is not that much stressed. You wake up, you know that your limo is waiting in 20 minutes. You'll start with a scheduled call on the way to gym. At the gy

Agreed, my fault, it's not the same type of store - Amazon register is for in-store swipes while Y! is for online store. Yet, my understanding is that previously they didn't have the built-in payment processing and from the screen

My wakeup time is flexible so I have tried the whole spectrum, going to bed earlier (10pm) or later ~12am, ~2-3am. Waking up without alarm for all these sleeptimes feels roughly the same so I'm not sure if I'm a "lark" o
