Not sure about Iran, but Israel got support and kind of an open market with silicon valley and it's an isolated part of the ME anyway it's not like an Iraqi dev would casually go to Isreal to work lol, UAE not really special, most

Replace Africa with MiddleEast and it's the same, $8500 is the average salary, only a few private companies actually pay a reasonable salary, bad education, no training, expensive electronics/internet, and non-techy bosses/cl

Depends on the subject, if it's one thing like "Calculate X from Y" then sure Google and StackOverflow ggwp. But if you're learning a new framework or a whole new concept a video of someone doing the work will give a bet

Some people are visual learners and some people are readers, you can't make him/her change to 100% reading just like that, it's how their brain functions, suddenly switching to reading is harder than you think. I'm a vis

I did a full switch to Postgres like 2 years ago, and a decent chunk of the decision was `timestamp with timezone` saved me a huge amount of headaches working on multinational services Use timestamp with tz, drop Unix timestamps and use ISO

Protest all you want, but use your own productions, not others, can you tell me what would be your feeling getting a call on holidays from an angry client or a manager who might not even be celebrating Christmas? Chinese politics? alright f

I'm not saying it's bad design, I'm saying it doesn't go well with the goal and target, for example, products taking too much space for no reason, prices(the core) are not highlighted and written in the same size, color,

You're using articles or blog UI/UX, this doesn't suite the point of the site, it's really hard and annoying to navigate, too much white space and elegant text style. I mean it's simple and clean and everything... b

The traditional education is the problem, most of the students in the activities I mentioned above are university students or already graduated. the majority are not uneducated refugees as you think.

The level varies but in general, the young Iraqis are Hollywood addicts xD, so I would say it's decent, some are really good and some need a little bit practice. All mentors/leaders are easily on the high side

I'm not Syrian, I'm Iraqi, and I can assure you the issue is bigger than that around here (most middle east) The only positive(ish) thing I know of is a Bootcamp they do in northern Iraq for Iraqi(ISIS crisis) and Syrian refugees
