The cases that make it to court are often the ones where the employee was in the wrong, but cases that make it to court aren't the only thing to judge these policies by. If the policies cause a chilling effect where people who join giv

I believe your understanding of MWI is close enough, but I don't think your use of "superdeterminism" is correct. Superdeterminism is an attempt to give a local explanation for seemingly-non-local quantum phenomena. MWI is a

Superdeterminism was only proposed as an explanation for quantum "spooky action at a distance" without sacrificing the principle of locality. MWI already explains this weirdness without sacrificing the principle of locality, so th

It's simpler (as in fewer rules; not that it results in a "simpler" smaller world) than a lot of other interpretations: it doesn't need to specify an explicit concept of wave collapse.

Sure it's been done before. The point is that WASM is a good, efficient, sandboxed, modern example of it that's usable now with a large software ecosystem around it.

It would be weird if he used a method like GET which is normally idempotent. People already make those be idempotent, so they would miss that the point is that a good API has all idempotent endpoints, POST and not.

With an idempotent API, starting a VM and doing something with it can look like this: let new_id = generate_id(); retry_with_backoff(() => api.make_vm(new_id)); retry_with_backoff(() => api.do_thing_with_vm(new_id));

POST isn't required to be idempotent, but to be clear it's not improper to make an API with idempotent POST endpoints.

It sounds like you want a file on a ram disk. Linux creates a ram disk by default in /dev/shm. You could create a file or directory there only accessible by a specific UID.

WebAssembly strongly sandboxes the module from affecting the world outside of it, not from affecting itself. Isn't that the usual use of the word sandbox? The sandbox imposes a boundary between the inside and outside, but it doesn'

When you use WebAssembly, you're in control of the sandbox. You can pass things into the sandbox and let the module use it. There's no signing/certificate/appstore system tied to WebAssembly.

The cross-language interoperability of WebAssembly seems practically like a happy side-effect of its design; I don't think it would look much differently at present if it had originally been built to target only C (in a sandboxable way
