Design principles: — Don't reinvent the building blocks of UI. It's mostly a designer problem than a dev problem but I often see folks reinventing navigation, buttons, or forms when the standard pattern would work fine. There is a

Meta has insane distribution. Even if they don't match the best AI integration in a couple of months, they can push it to 1 billion people in days when it hits. Same thing for AR/VR, they can afford to invest massively in differen

I used to look forward to it. I liked Google positioning with its Pixel line up, their prosumer software and what they cooked in the lab (AI, Project Starline) Now I don't even bother navigating through the announcements that are never

OpenAI blew up when they released ChatGPT. It was more of a UX breakthrough than pure tech, since GPT3 was available for a few months already. This feels similar, with OpenAI trying to put their product even more into the daily lives of the

I apologize. Since it's linked to experimenting with Midjourney I thought it would fit.

Oh this is useful! I don't get why Midjourney doesn't allow better showcase and search from their platform.

My first proper use case is to ban any kind of "lorem ipsum" from my designs. I can populate every field quickly with relevant data and content, which helps for communication. But I haven't seen really impactful tools yet. So

You conveniently use mild examples when I'm talking about harmful stereotypes. Reinforcing bulky NFL players won't lead to much, reinforcing minorities stereotypes can lead to lynchings or ethnic cleansing in some part of the worl

The problem is that it can reinforce harmful stereotypes. If I ask an image of a great scientist, it will probably show a white man based on past data and not current potential. If I ask for a criminal, or a bad driver, it might take a hint

Sadly it's not only designers but sometimes the whole product org who is biased… I lost on a potential design contract earlier this year because the company wanted a paid case study. 3 hours to improve their onboarding and customer act

I have to disagree here. Events, reminders, deadlines and calendars are key to any project management. So far, the built-in calendar view wasn't good enough for anything substantial. Having a proper calendar experience could make me sw

One of the best projects I saw was made during the “early” days of generative AI (2022) and the strange output fits perfectly the story. Summer Island by Steve Coulson [1] is a short comic book made by an art director who can't draw we

To this day this is the best experience I had in VR by far. I spent hours roaming the earth, it's truly amazing. It's sad that Google is massively underutilizing this asset.
