I use SequelPro (OS X, Free). It's fast and lightweight, it can tunnel through SSH.

It's a bit of a pain, the only way I found to do it is using a Magic Mouse or a trackpad. I'll be back here in case someone has a suggestion :)

Speaking of Europe, lately I've been using iOS on my native tongue and the translation is "Limitar seguimiento..." I don't know what's behind that ellipsis, but the direct translation of what I see would be "Li

I guess they could let you distribute your changes but not their source code. Is there a license for this?

I've been using mine for two months and I love it. They have an data API http://dev.fitbit.com/ and said they may open a hardware one too.

It varies country to country. That was the norm for Spain but has since changed, now you get two contracts, one for the service and another for the phone financing. I pay 25/mo for my iPhone plus an 8/mo data plan. I don't do

The point should be "don't use a bad carousel" then. It frustrated me that it didn't paused when my mouse was over the slide and that the timing was badly done (on purpose, I guess). I've used them and my clients an

Still, I don't think it's that much money. I bought TextMate, then moved to phpStorm (this one was almost 100€, they had a sale not too long ago) and I also got Coda 2. I buy a lot of software, if a tool is useful it's going

My experience is the complete opposite. They've responded fast and helped when I needed them. They're cheap and fast enough. I'm not too worried about data losses tho, we do regular offsite backups.

I don't care much about licenses or which parts of my stack are OS and which are not. I just want to create things and if using [Proprietary OS] instead of [Linux Distro] lets me work more efficient so be it.

I usually perform a search using the data I can get from the URL. I usually get a category and some keyword (from the clean title URLs) so I can indicate that there's a 404 and then offer some related results doing a search. Angel

It's better to build something for yourself or contribute in Open Source than working for free on a for-profit company. I also don't think it's easy to get "hired" for no money in most companies, legal issues aside, training people is NOT f

I find programming for iOS easier. I also think the target market on iOS is better quality than the Android one, despite of raw market share they are a lot of small and underpowered Android devices out of there. If I were creating an startu

Depends on what you want to achieve with it. I installed Ubuntu Server, threw and configured SAMBA and a small LAMP server on it and not much more. For getting the backups from the production servers I use rdiff-backup and cron. I'm not usi

HP claims 22dB. I saw a blog post that swapped the fan and added a variable resistor to achieve 6dB. The one I got at the office is barely noticeable (it's at my feet). On a home setting a closet would be a good place to hide it and shield

I keep local backups of everything. The HP Microserver I bought is very handy for stuff like that. If anything happens to my servers (ALL of them) being back online will be a matter of hours/days and not years.

The Fitbit Flex does that too. I just got mine today and I'm counting the hours till tomorrow morning to test it. I want to try being more of a morning person but I don't want to disturb the wife getting up too early.

Will you release an ebook? It seems interesting and I would pay paperback price for an ebook with no DRM. I got a lot of technical books and they're a PITA to read and store as they are usually pretty big. EDIT: Went back to the Amazon link

You're not really paying for the RAM, you're paying for the RAM plus installation. It's cheaper to produce 2, 4 models on an assembly line and if you wan't to have 4x RAM just charge you a lot. I just buy the model with the less RAM and upg
