I'm surprised nobody's mentioned addon debugging if you really need an extension working. All of the extension packages are in <your profile>/extensions folder and you can load them for the duration of your session by t

That's basically my reasoning as well. I want the IDE to tell me things so I don't have to look up documentation all the time, especially since most of the time I'm working on code I had no part in originally. It's a hel

In an effort to be as unproductive and productive as I could, I built a robot once that just pressed the 5 button on my mousepad avery ~1.2 seconds or so. This let me, over the course of 30 days of straight button pressing, successfully acc

Still selling that one book. Last time I posted this, someone bought 40 copies of it. 40! That was more than the lifetime sales of it! https://www.amazon.com/dp/1505357888/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_...

Wouldn't you be speed limited by the lowest bandwidth equipment in the mix? Unless it's fiber (or equivalent bandwidth) from end to end you're not going to be able to go faster than what the slowest machine will process. If y

At my last job we had to do builds constantly and put it on hardware, which was annoying because builds took 15 minutes and putting it on the hardware took another 10. Couldn't solve the latter because it wasn't in our domain, but

It doesn't look like it. The cheapest new car I just looked at was a Hyundai Accent for $14k and it came with a touch screen infotainment system. Even a manual 2019 Nissan Versa for $13.4k has one. Seems like it's the new norm, li

That's what I though as well. In which case it's better to just keep it in a set-like structure initially, or just dump your entire array into a set afterwards. That's linear time, which is loads better than any of the soluti

Kinda like robots.txt, there's nothing preventing a crawler from ignoring it or omitting it and just doing whatever it wants. Slapping in a massive header comment might work.

I've got a little notebook of things I write down. Had to spend that mandatory college cash on something. It's got a little band to keep it closed and one of those built-in cloth bookmarks.

Find companies on job boards, find jobs on company sites. Glassdoor to check if it's relatively OK. Resume doesn't mean much because even with tailoring I got nothing. But if you do need to, use .docx files. Avoid PDF, it can'

I suppose I'll be the first to say that yellow as a background color is a horrible design choice. And it's not even using the background color CSS option alone, it's got some weird tiled single pixel yellow image on top of it

It sounds like a poor attempt at voiceover editing. It's nasally and monotone and dull and dreary. There's this strange vibrato throughout it all and there are sudden rapid shifts between a really low and high tone of voice. I

As far as I know, "full stack" just refers to being able to do both front end and back end work, where back end work consists of core website code, database administration, and devops. Full stack is a really broad classification t

So what I see here is a very impressive, hand built tab completion system for a specific task. Makes lots of things much faster. Now all you need to do is speed it up some more by using less keystrokes and a stenotype machine. But really th
