I always find it curious that almost no one is talking about not using a framework to begin with. I have been writing complex UI with vanilla js for some time now, never had any issues or took longer than I expected to get a job done.

I've been trying my hand at something similar. It's not nearly as finished as mode is though. https://github.com/Jungle-Works/AllSpark

The Russian tower just keeps going. Insane. Also the current time zoom in at the end is rather unexpected.

I use sourcetree and it's pretty great, especially the aforementioned block-level staging.

https://github.com/jarulraj/sqlcheck/blob/master/docs/logica... Strongly disagree. Table columns should always be prefixed with table name. So users.user_id is one of the most hated patters for me.

Yeah feared as much. Don't think my isp is going to roll out ipv6 anytime soon (government owned, stuck in ie6 age isp, BSNL).

The site doesn't work. So naturally that means I don't have ipv6 support. What can do to change that or is it entirely upto my isp? Also how do I get a ipv6 based instance in a host like amazon or linode etc?

I'll just be the sad puppy sitting in the corner writing everything in vanilla es2016/17. I never had any problems and everything works. The amount of code I write is no more than the angular code I write at work. Never used react

Most of the time when I do npm install it's for stuff I know I will need. If you want to check something out you can always just --no-save it.

I'm not able to update it to v5. npm install npm@latest -g doesn't update.

So happy with the --save by default. Someone at work kept installing new dependencies without save (they didn't knew about it, somehow). We then had an unusable package.json. I had to manually find directories in node_modules and insta

The concept I think I can still get my head around. It's all the stuff that surrounds it that eludes me. I have done some work in C but that C is unlike any of the C I wrote in college (duh, it's the kernel code)

I wish I was smart enough for the article. 8 years of web dev doesn't make the cut unfortunately.

A static website I think is a good way. The most important part is layout. Once you master flex and css selectors, everything else is a derivative one way or another. It's probably not a good idea to focus an entire week on CSS alone.

I am convinced now that these micro frameworks are not the way to go (in my very humble experience). CSS is super easy and simple. And unless you want to support IE, it's not nearly the main pain point, especially in contrast with JS w

I have written relatively large (35k lines) project in pure JavaScript (without even jquery) and have never faced any of the issues mentioned by the parent, (Babel helped). I write native first and then run babel to appease my older browser

I meant it in the code's current state. Suppose the development stops or stagnates in a month or two. The product is complete. So you can remove the transpilation. Also we won't have to transpile current features in the future. Th

Because eventually in a couple of years you can take your ES7 code and remove the transpiration and it will all work seamlessly. Not so much with Typescript.

idk, I personally think if you need that kind of deep learning in your code then you are repeating yourself too much. I wrote a 30k line project with sublime and never faced any issues. Everything is as snappy as it was at 1k lines. Never n
