Correct. Most progressives would have no issue with voter ID, as long as the states make it very easy and zero cost to get said ID. Try being poor and needing an ID, and not having all of the documentation needed. It's very challenging

We don't have an issue with that last point, lots of EC2 EKS nodes and they don't fail randomly. Were you using resources and limits correctly? EKS nodes can fall over randomly if you don't reserve resources on the nodes for

I wonder if folks do that because its easier to picture a hole the size of two washing machines. That would be like 4-6 sq ft which can be more difficult to visualize.

And its easy to compare the cost of the cloud running your hardware to the cost of physical hardware. However, its much more difficult to compare the indirect costs between the two, and that's where I think many people go sideways.
