Call me a skeptic but I do not believe LLMs are significantly altering the time between commits so much that CI is the problem. However, improving CI performance is valuable regardless.

If you believe in these tariffs then the major problem is how he enacted them. Businesses want certainty. It takes years to build factories. The next president could just wipe away these tariffs instantly. Hell, even the current one could.

Some projects developed directly in AOSP. Those projects will now develop on the internal branch like the rest. So it's not as big of a change as some are making it out to be.

Unless I'm mistaken the teams that share a desk are supposed to come in 2 days a week. For teams that don't do this desk sharing you have to come in 3 days a week. So there shouldn't be an issue of trying to have each person

I work on a couple sets of rules at Google. I enjoy it. Though I agree people really can make balls of spaghetti with it. Everyone’s macros are terrible except for mine . The configuration system is where things can get really out of hand

The VCs hate that Google and others bid up salaries. It means their investments don't go as far. He'd love for Google to lay off a ton of employees so his portfolio companies could get significantly cheaper labor.

One problem is that housing is supply constrained in many places. Homebuilders need loans too. So high rates increase homebuilders costs as well.
