Eventually I got new Label() working, but Label() by itself isn't possible while keeping them as ES6 classes. After a while of managing commas, you just begin to long for JSX again. Hyperscript wouldn't solve that.

Wow. I didn't know we could make video editors online now. Amazing job. I tried to do this so many times over the past 10 years, and it's a lot harder than it looks. But the "power" apps in this area are disproportio

Most people just don't care that they're being spied on. Most people don't care about anything actually, they're in a constant state of despair and see no point to anything so they just try to make the best of the time t

Yeah to be fair by "production" I meant I personally wouldn't use it for a long-term (5-10 year) project. I'm sure it's fine in an enterprise scenario, or a client who really wants you to use it and is willing to pa

FYI this is not a PDF even though it looks like it. Took me a minute. Also, why haven't we standardized a syntax yet? Seems like at this point we shouldn't be debating braces vs do/end vs indentation, and we should just settl

I didn't pretend anything. If anything, I'm just an idiot, or I forgot. Don't assume malice where incompetence is sufficient to explain it. That said, the most basic, uninteresting tiktok videos get 300 views, and if you tr

From the beginning, the Go team always emphasized that it was basically just meant to replace Java and C++ for servers inside Google. One of the official Go doc pages starts off with a basically apologetic tone, saying something like "

I had such a difficult time getting word out to the 300k people about the book, I would be glad to let even 10% of them know about it to this day. I still have 200 copies lying around and sales are dead. At most I was able to let a few thou

Zig is just as much mental overhead. C and C++ are too, but most of us have amortized that cost already. Go is already a legacy language that probably shouldn't be used in production in most cases.

I had a tiktok page and my book was due to people asking me to make a book based on my tiktoks. So I made the book and told them when it was done. I don't consider this advertising.

I could be wrong, but from my research and understanding, walking is one of the easiest things for us to do, only slightly more expensive than sitting up straight or standing. On top of this, it doesn't "stack" well because o

This looks like a great alternative to TypeScript + Node.js which I currently use. My main gripe with Lua (and thus Luau) is colons. It's so easy to forget them. Does the type checker catch this error? And if so, does it catch it ev
