if the cops do that, they're breaking the law with that search already theyll have a hard time showing that you intended for the government to break the law. first the government would have to admit breaking the law

common sense is that CBP should not be searching citizens phones in order to pick a kill list for ICE to go killing first amendment protected protestors. it's ridiculous on the face of it that that guys phone should be searched at all

uhh, are you a lawyer with knowledge about how evidence works? its not just a word, its a specific legal term cops definitely do need judges to say what evidence is admissible, and they really dont have thr ability to just declare anything

no way! it should be about 50% conviction rate so that juries dont go in with non-evidence that the case is good because the feds thought it should go to court

it seems pretty likely that openai was asking the model to do something bad, and the model did something different thats also bad if the operator wants something bad, an aligned model should execute on it

given that github is full of vibe coded repos, reddit is full of bot comments, and most blog posts are ai slop, isnt it guaranteed that anyone training on big public data sets will be closely tracking each other in text style?

the outputs of the model have no property protections, and training a model on the outputs of another model does the exact same thing - its expensive and creates new value over what was in the input - a set of documents.

it isnt particularly true, when other ML models have been shown to reinforce the ethics of the training data, eg. racism in hiring. judgement is being added, and its hard to tell exactly what judgement it is and whether you agree or not
