Yeah, I'm curious why a game cheat is allowed to run in the first place. Do these companies not have device controls, or do they just not care? Feels like the employee pulled a LastPass Plex move.

Not everyone has the same update cycle. That's not free-riding. The framing around not being on the latest version as irresponsible doesn't hold up.

Seeing this kind of friction makes me more confident in VeraCrypt. The tools that never seem to run into trouble with platform gatekeepers are the ones I'd worry about.

Web browser is a sandbox by default. Worst a sketchy site does is eat a tab, less if you run an adblocker. Native app? Background processes, hardware ID shenanigans, your contacts, location. The whole buffet.

It's part of the attribution settings from `.claude/settings.json` if you're referring to Claude Code. Personally, I adjusted the defaults since I don't like emojis in my PR. [1]: https://code.claude.com/

Not surprised. A QA team I worked with only tested against Chrome-based browsers and Safari. If users hit issues on Firefox or anything else, support was just told to have them switch browsers.

Interesting, thanks. I use remote ephemeral dev containers with isolated envs, so filesystem damage isn't really a concern as long as the PR looks good in review. Nice extra guardrail though, will add it to the project-level settings.

For private repositories under a personal account, if the repo owner has opted out of model training but a collaborator has not, would the collaborator's Copilot interactions with that repo still be used for training?

Is usage based pricing available? I'm thinking of trying it out Kagi, but adding another monthly commitment is what's holding me back. A single credit top-up and occasional usage until the credits run out sounds good to me.
