Its all abstractions that help justify ethno-nationalism at the expense of concern about individual tragedy.

The ICC could be considered to have jurisdiction over Gaza though. Although obviously that is debatable.

People will defend the idea of Brexit but condemn the implementation. And people avoid debating it directly anyway.

Maybe it all comes down to allowing people to feel comfortable driving more quickly on country roads. Also, the number of people who actually choose new cars is quite limited, and they may be influenced by stupid factors.

The fact that you need intimate knowledge is evidence of the Kafkaesque nature. It describes a world where virtue doesn't exist except for the case of financial planning (which often equates quite well to luck).

No idea if it applies here. But many people outside of tech start crafty projects as a way of regaining some control from stress and pressure. Its fun, rewarding and something you can do in a sea of things you can't.

No idea, but I have found that edge can be more conservative in its use of GPU acceleration than Chrome. Maybe that is the case in the webview Teams uses.

I think most kids in this situation eventually hit a wall where things become difficult and being "smart" on its own is not enough. And people hit that at different age, maturity and availability of support. They need to transit

Surely it would be easier to recharge rather than swap batteries? I wonder if in the future war will be like a turn based strategy game as everyone wait for drones to recharge before making a move.

My biggest annoyance are the ones that wait for a gap in the traffic. And by the time it goes green you have already crossed. They seem to be configured to be irrelevant for any able bodied person. And completely ignore current traffic c

I think this approach makes sense for services with a small number of users relative to the data they are searching. That just isn't a good fit for a lot of hosted services. Think how much that TB's of data would cost on Algolia

I think a lot problems across different systems have a similar issue. You have a system that needs to have some autonomy (like a flying aeroplane). It has a sources of authority (say a sensor, ATC) but that sometimes is unavailable, delay

Sure, but you were asking why truth is less gratifying. Also, "truth" is clearly something that requires more resources. It is a lifelong endeavour of art/science/learning. You can certainly luck into it on occasion bu

But the overwhelming trend is the exact opposite of that. Maybe what you see is more a minority counter culture. It offers more feelings of control when people are still a couple of missed cheques away from bankruptcy.

And there are a lot of other less rational reasons why people don't want to buy a standard electric car or a standard ice pick up truck. Why is charging at slow speed at home such an issue for you?

Why not both? Things can have multiple reasons and then later second order effects on top of that. Either way the law should stay outside of what narrative you choose to follow.
