How does this compare to just planting trees? No maintenance and they also sequester carbon. All this seems to me like replacing trees with silicon and maybe that doesn't make sense.

Which is the opposite of what Brexit proponents claimed. They claimed the UK was so essential that it could dictate its own terms with both the EU and other trade partners.

What people accept as truth is a social construct. That's a different thing. Your teacher was just a sophist.

> "That's contempt. You can sit in jail until you decide to remember." I know it works like that in the states, but does it also work like that in France? In most places contempt is limited in time.

Another one is just maintainer/packagers for popular distros like Arch. I'd be very surprised if something shady isn't there as of now.

What are the advantages? I'm very frustrated with firejail since I can't for example block execution in my home directory, with the exception of one subdirectory. It just can't be done.

This can't be stressed enough. He most certainly was not punished for any ideas, apart from making fun of the Pope and pissing off other people with power.

Probably apocryphal. Also the priests knew he was right. He just pissed off the Pope and was punished for that, not for any astronomical ideas. That was just the excuse.
