Responsible gun owners lock their guns in a safe and do not provide the code to spouses or children. Maybe the UK should work on their stabbing or grenade attack statistics...

His brother briefly worked at Jane Street. Right out of college he made $300k, next year $600k - his bosses liked his perf and said he'd be on track to make $5-7M per year if he stayed on for another 2-4 years. Supposedly he still fel

Unfortunately the world changes, no paradigm in reality lasts forever... Cool article, but glad it didn't just turn into a "muh elon musk ruined my life" situation...

I'm also still waiting for the answer to this question. No way I'm going to let apple or google control half of my access to everything I use online...

This kind of logic doesn't help anyone - yes, CEO pay is insane but its that way because of how much risk they take ownership of and shoulder day in day out. If one line worker forgets to tie a wire-harness it's not like the enti

This is flat out bad advice - being wrong is okay sometimes but if it becomes a pattern or you make yourself look like always needing aid from other devs or team members you'll quickly paint a target on your back as the next person to

Having worked with transportation "tech" companies in the past, even some that were wildly profitable - I've always found their execs or founders to be cold and generally out of touch with what their employees actually want.

Linux groups like this are an absolute joke at this point - it's beyond a circus of political / virtue signaling that's metastasized to a point that it's basically a net negative to anyone actually trying to contribute o

This is how energy contracts work. If a utility opts to break a contract made prior to ensure grid stability and to mitigate risk to more residential customers terms sometimes dictate that the settlement will be made in dollars or energy c

To clarify, I have a degree, worked at a faang and have a squeaky clean criminal record. However, I hopped around early in my career working for a number of startups tried to found a few as well. I walked away with great experiences, but
