It's hard to find real numbers on this but it certainly seems like most of the money is coming from speculators. Of course Bitcoin is also used in actual sales transactions sometimes and in black markets etc but it's mostly specul

This is really good advice. Anyone strugging with depression should definitely start with the basics: - Regular good sleep. Go to bed and wake up at the same time every day. - Good exercise every day. This will help with the sleep too. - Ea

Chrome just needs to change the UI for this feature. It should mimic the way a blocked pop-up is displayed - just a small icon in the right side of the address bar. That makes it easy to ignore but you can still find it for instances where

The thing with crypto mining is you really need 24/7 electricity. Difficulty increases all the time and if you don't break even ASAP your hardware will become obsolete before you start making money. Solar panels can't do 24&#

Their TOS prohibits making new accounts to bypass the ban. I don't know if they have automated checks to enforce this but based on the behaviour of spammers and scammers using google products, I suspect they do.

No the idea is that the universe is expanding. It's not infinite but it's expanding faster than C and therefore it's impossible to reach the edge.

Some devs these days are using VMs extensively to develop on different projects and environments, and those devs need more RAM. Cloud desktop works iff you have a good internet connection at the time

I honestly don't see a single reason why MySQL should be used over PostgreSQL for anything, thus my sweeping statement. I could be wrong but I don't think so.

They are NOT using stock-standard MySQL and haven't done so for many years. If you are big enough to make your own programming languages the normal rules do not apply. And if you ask the Youtube team for a recommendation for your proje

They mean traditional SQL databases like PostgreSQL, SQL Server, DB2, Oracle etc. Not MySQL. MySQL has almost none of the important features of a real SQL database management system. Nobody should be using MySQL for anything.

You make it sound like many people are using petabyte scale databases. This is not even close to true. ESPECIALLY when you're just starting out. Most new projects will start with almost no data at all and the vast majority of projects

Yes this is what I calculated as well. Regular ads are still way more profitable - even if you somehow convince all your visitors to keep your page open 24/7. Even coinhive admit that you can't use this to make real money.

Pirate Bay trialed this but otherwise nobody is doing this at scale right now. The problem is that users will notice and the ROI is miniscule. Even if your users keep the miner running 24/7 you're nowhere near just regular old ads

Piggy-back. You do not get a separate phone number for your watch. They will charge you $5 or $10 a month for the 'wearable device'.
