I had similar idea few years ago, and my rudimentary solution to this was web of trust. Create a way for every user to have ability to verify that they know another user. The user gets the whole daily allowance only if they are verified by

There are thousands of small cities all over the world and nobody has to enforce population growth.

My idea would work best with a lot of small cities like that (about 100k-200k population). Have these cities connected through some rail system, self-driving buses etc and you could work at one city and live at another without having a need

But I don't think huge metropolis are the way to go. It would be better to have many smaller cities.

Why can't we have small cities where in the center we have libraries, medical facilities and schools. Next let's build parks and recreational areas. Around that we should have residential area. Next zone retail, and another one in

Tunnels are not a way to fix traffic - redesigning cities is. Our cities, and the society in general is so inefficient that it borders on crimes against humanity. What we need is smaller, more efficient, better designed cities.

I don't claim that nuclear is not safe in a short term, especially when we can fully control it. But in a long term it is dangerous to the planet as a whole, not only to humanity.

What if just one of the almost 500 power plants goes into a meltdown after a disaster/asteroid strike/pandemic . How long will it take for the fuel to become harmless? 20k years?

Nuclear power seems cleaner, but when you take under consideration things like waste fuel storage it simply does not make much sense.. Yes, it's a great short term solution, but what if in 500 years there is nobody to take care of all

In reality programming is already fully automated :) Translation to machine code is done in most cases automatically. We just tell the compiler what we want the program to do. Honestly, if we treated software engineering as a real engineer

Somethings very fishy here.. The US alone detonated over 1000 nukes, yet nuclear winter is nowhere to be seen.. (thankfully)

First of all I'm not saying that the whole infrastructure could be replicated, only critical parts, and parts that can be easily hosted locally. Second, pointing to a new machine is as simple as updating IP in your hosts file, or dns s

Isn't it the whole idea of git to make user independent from place like github? After all if you have the repository on your local machine you can continue working as if nothing happened, right?
