I could do my 8 hour job in 4 hours, but I have to work 40 hours a week, because that's the minimum expected from me. This wasted time is the main reason why I'm working on starting my own company this year.

While I suspect that the device in question does not work as advertised, I think this patent application has more merit than 99% of software patents nowadays.

It's not going to happen as fast as the report claims, but if it did I can only expect that these cars would be either "recycled" or sold to other countries where electric autonomous cars are still the future.

If you read the report you would know that this is not what they are claiming. The report bases everything on a simple assumption - it will be much more expensive to own the car vs to have one rented to drive you to your destination. Also

Because a lot of "developers" only know one OS. I've seen places trying to run a fuel cell power station controllers on Windows.. Fortunately it was fairly easy to explain to them why this is a bad idea :)

The problem with this idea is not with throughput of the tunnels, but with the shafts that lead to the tunnel. Lowering one car to the tunnel will take time, and unless there is some kind of elevator with multiple carts you will only be abl

There are a lot of similar "long tail" reasons that explain why once cost of electric cars is on par with ice's electrification will speed up. To add to your "gas station" example, most of these stations make profi

I think 30% by 2030 is overly pessimistic. I'm simply guessing but since average age of the car on the road in the US is about 10 years, cars bought today will be off the roads by 2027. In ten years it's reasonable to expect that

They may not solve congestion, but they should lower it, even it it's by a tiny amount. The reason is simple - electric cars don't have to visit gas stations which sometimes adds few miles to the miles traveled every month. i.e o

You're right - in this case technology is not the solution. Building a simple outhouse is not that complicated and people in other parts of the world have been doing this for millennia.
