Why?

I hit the Claude limit within an hour. Most of my tokens are used arguing with the hallucinations. I’ve given up on it.

by 650REDHAIR 8mo ago
That’s been my experience and has lead to hours of wasted time. It’s faster for me to read through docs and watch YouTube. Even if I submit the documentation or reference links they are completely ignored.

by 650REDHAIR 8mo ago
Because I’m sick of paying $20 for an hour of claude before it throttles me.

I thought Bezos paid enough in bribes for it to not affect AWS/Amazon? Sorry, donated.

I use that and Mr. Chilly. Mr. Chilly is one of those niche apps that sparks joy and reminds me of the early app days.

My XPS never sat in the sun and none of my thinkpads or MacBooks have ever had issues like this. Much less multiple issues back to back. More importantly they can all accept 3rd party batteries.

How is this not the top of the front page? Are we just immune to these headlines now because we don’t expect anything different from Microslop? Just an assumption that they’ll have a catastrophic failure once a quarter or more.

I’m endlessly frustrated with the Microslop experience over the last 12 months. What are my alternatives? We utilize the entire 365 suite and it feels daunting to migrate everything to individual services.

We are a small team and rely on outlook, 365, etc. The last year has been miserable for outages. What are the alternatives with better uptime?

I tried to get Claude to build me a spreadsheet last night. I was explicit in that I wanted an excel file. It’s made one in the past for me with some errors, but a framework I could work with. It created an “interactive artifact” that would

Good! Mine is sitting on a shelf. I can’t even use it without the battery because it throttles when the only power source is the charger. I keep it around to maybe scavenge the 4k touchscreen for a project or the ram for a family member’s u

My top of the line XPS battery swole so much it broke the keyboard. Repaired under warranty. Less than a year later that battery was swollen. No warranty replacement. No OEM batteries available through Dell. I buy 4 replacements from Amazon

New attack models are using shielded electronics that don't need GPS and are immune to traditional jamming. Relying on computer vision and old school navigation math. Go ~X speed for Y distance(+/-) on Z heading until you reach A

I outfitted our 10 person team with the E16 g2 and it’s been great. Two minor issues- it’s HEAVY compared to T models. Because of the weight try not to walk around with the lid up and holding it from one of front corners. I’ve noticed one o

That doesn't surprise me at all. Makes me furious, but it doesn't surprise me.

I absolutely loathe dealing with sales people. I will pay a premium for an inferior product or service if it means I don't have to deal with sales people.

Do we think TB4 is on the table or is there a technical limitation?

You could get x1 M3 Ultra w/ 512gb of unified ram for the price of x2 RTX 5090 totaling 64gb of vram not including the cost of a rig capable of utilizing x2 RTX 5090.
