This reminds me of my favorite anecdote in this realm. I had a close friend who, in college studied in the Beltway. He claims he was one of the interns who, at her behest, showed Congressman Clinton how one sleeps with a hooker in the bac

Very interesting stuff. What are your thoughts on the I2P darknet, the Syndicate system, and why are they inadequate in your opinion?

What a disgusting group of bottom-feeders LinkedIn has become. Question is: if I install this unwittingly and they do something to my email server side later-on (not that they have been accused of other vaguely unethical things) how much

Very cool. I know some journalist in dangerous parts of the world and this would be a very cool service. Some thoughts: Does it support phone calls? I would think it is cool for when someone is abroad and without data and have periodic

Personally, I like the inverse: everything is a file in Plan9/Unix/Linux world. Programming is ironically simple, and you pipe around input and output from pipes and files at the ends or in between. Trying doing the same with Wi

My issue with this solution and sshuttle was performance is good for web browsing and other basic tasks, but good luck with more complicated higher-bandwidth stuff. That being said I did not use it more than a few days and maybe people have

For those are interested, I am sure it has been brought up before, the inverse has been brought up before, an in-kernel Scheme for debugging and some more crazy testing, schemix. [0] Unfortunately, the project is long since deprecated. [0]

Really? I stand corrected. Thanks for pointing that out. At work I often say that is the only thing I will praise Apple for. Now it is back to zero, and I can be the Apple contrarian I yearn to be. :-)

Hahaha. You should try it and come back apologize for your ignorance. Installing Linux with all the customized hardware inside, just get an X screen/GUI is non-trivial, even on old Macs. Check out the Bumblebee Project to get an idea
