I have long been interested in what a professional-grade threat model from a large FAANG/SV organization is. Is this a representative model? Microsoft came up with DREAD and STRIDE and they suggest there threat models are more elaborat

In Linux, not completely an answer to what you want auditd does a lot of it, but I rarely see it mentioned outside the government and military because of use of the STIG requirements. And to your point: the UI sucks as it just text-based co

I think SBOM is interesting but it is totally absurd to think that SBOM is a _complete_ solution and/or comprehensive mitigation to Sunburst. It is starting to make me mad people say this. There is money on the line to create or enhanc

This is basically the Uplan method, no? The Israelis pioneered this long ago, or so I have been told, by relatives who were taught Hebrew in the 70s when studying there. Hebrew as spoken today (aka Modern Hebrew) was a new language that won

Cool to see Onyx here. I liked his tools for Google Apps downloads so much that, a long time ago, despite seeing the open source version, I paid for the pro key. Highly recommend! (We link to his site for the paid for version, so I will not

Sadly to the point. I feel for Iranians in Iran (I know many, whether they call themselves Persians or Iranians as expats is their choice and I respect that). Having had the opportunity to meet the former in their homeland so so long ago, m

The man page is a very nice touch! Do you have source in GH or elsewhere about this harness? I am using Restructured text and rst2pdf but this looks so much nicer!

Was curious to learn more about you, your website is nice, but the blog (blog.penguincoder.com) redirects to the main site (penguincoder.com), FYI.

I bet they are, I think my comment was reasonably sarcastic. If you have to bad mouth them under an alias, you know you do not want to work for them.

Then be a hero and stop using a throwaway maybe? If you are embarrassed or maybe ashamed of your former association with Palantir, don't bring it up or don't get caught working there or both. I work on similar public healthcare pr

So where's that list? I would imagine it is not hard for a company at the size of FB to reliably host a static file of 35000 redacted names. :-) And my snarky response is inspired largely by what I would call your diversion of a respon

I could not tell but some coworkers asked when I referenced it (saw it in a lobste.rs post) if it supports terraform 0.12 and it seems you don't string interpolation anywhere, so it seems it is compatible with, given the code, < 0.1
