This just looks so cool. I'm sure this would be very useful on giant legacy codebases where the author is long gone but the bugs remain, and I just like the idea of using ai techniques to refactor code. Seems all futuristic and stuff ;)

Awesome, so basically if I'm already a great engineer/designer I don't have to worry about engineering or design anymore! But hey it is true that it can be too easy to get lost in the joy of building and forget about the business. There's j

I've always liked the idea of polyglot programming. How much better would it be to not have to try & kludge programming paradigms out of languages that don't support them, but could just use a language that does what you want natively.

Gotta love the cool stop animated models they used for the sprites in the games, but here's the best bit that I didn't know: (about the sources for some of the textures)"Among the more unusual sources, one texture was based on Adrian's snak

More power to the guy for doing something interesting, but I can't help but think this would be weird, painful & impractical to use. Still, why not?

Thats a very interesting observation, & one that I guess I've been aware of but have never articulated quite as well as that. Well done. I probably fit your description of an "alteration" type developer, but I think our camp have always

I don't feel that a girl getting into the finals & cheering "girl power" is the most offensive thing in the world. I suppose she should have gracefully & demurely stood & curtseyed (while balancing a stack of books on her head)

Thats really cool, never thought of doing that before. It's always enjoyable to learn a new c trick, thanks :) (oops, read further down that this is a common pattern. I need to go read K&R again!)

The problem occurs when you have to RTFM to your auto-RTFM machine causing the universe to collapse in some kind of recursive logical singularity.

The "can't squeeze blood from a stone" defence is probably your best bet if you're a really small operation, but as you say you'd just better hope the patent troll is behaving in a rational manner & not trying to make an example of you.

Eye contact or lack thereof is a poor indicator of a persons respect. In some cultures it is considered very rude to look your superior directly in the eye, & trying to force the issue will just make people very uncomfortable around you

Another anecdote, I have encountered the occasional bit of strange behaviour with my macbook & various iDevices 'stealing' existing ip addresses on my home network, but it happens infrequently enough that I haven't been motivated to loo
