It would be a benefit to have dev teams in the Toronto/NYC time zone. We’ve worked with the Cupertino devs since the start of Apple News and there’s a bit of a disconnect there because of the time difference. Apple has had other teams

Yeah good point. It did strike me, though, because I'd just written several scripts running JMeter commands and sort of breezed over how they're written even though I had to go and look up all the flags.

Wow. I just realized I'm terrible for this. I usually format my programming pretty verbosely to make it future-readable but I'm terrible for not doing that in my scripts. I'll add a comment or something explaining it but now

The disinformation campaigns are definitely a problem, but I think peoples' susceptibility to them (as well as the very visible polarization etc) may only be growing pains. The challenge is to make it through those adolescent years in

It works well enough for me in some categories. Like if I'm listening to some guitar demo or pedal maker demo or shootout, I'll get similar videos coming through and I've stumbled onto some great ones that way (JHS pedals has

I've had the same experience. I use YT to listen to music pretty regularly and if I don't go and actively select a different song it will play the same 5-10 over and over. Even when I do select a song it will make its way back to

That would probably be a huge boon. I've enjoyed my watch for music and notifications, etc. But if that was available I'd probably opt for it in the future and wear a decent mechanical watch instead. I'd like that option.

Oh I didn't mean to imply it's all they bring! Like I said—those farms have amazing produce and they also bring that stuff in. But in my experience at the satellite farmers' markets here in Toronto I've noticed they will

I haven’t read any of the books mentioned, but as a software worker I’m sure many of us have seen problems which would be solvable, even very simply, if the other parameters (often people) were more readily changeable. I’ve done some read

Kind of ironic as well considering it was Bostock while at the NYT who released a number of widely used, and highly influential, open source libraries.

I'm of the opinion that if there needs to be some objective technical challenge to determine a baseline of competency (and there are very many, very strong arguments for that) then there need to be standards. I've encountered so m
