Thanks for the suggestion! For now I am just disabling the background samples so that only 1 creepyface is loaded per user. Should be ready in a few minutes.

Since it made it to the front page I am afraid the site is having problems to serve images and you didn't get the chance to play around with the samples. If you wait long enough it'll hopefully load. Sorry for that!

You are right. Creepyface just swaps the images based on the relative position of the cursor with respect to the image element. It doesn't require a webcam although you can take your images using the site: https://creepyface

It's called Nala, but I am afraid she is a Ragdoll not a Maine Coon. We do have another one which is a Maine Coon but it is too shy for pictures. Thanks for the upvote though!

If anyone is interested in how a real product is using OSGi have a look at Liferay [1]. It uses declarative services [2] with annotations to define components and their dependencies. I am not very familiar with the underlaying tooling but t

I found this post quite interesting. These guys migrated a big codebase from flow to typescript. https://davidgom.es/porting-30k-lines-of-code-from-flow-to-t...

Hi everyone, author here. Creepyface is a Javascript library that you can use to make your picture follow the pointer (mouse or fingers). It's been my side project for more than I expected. This is Creepyface's story: 1. A few yea

You have a point but what I was trying to express is the irony of the experiment. To see if animals have empathy we basically torture them and see how they react... Call it empathy or whatever but I know I suffer under certain situations an

I find it odd that anyone able to cage rats for days in that cruel way is going to be able to identify any kind of empathy at all. How can you identify empathy if you don't even feel it? I guess this is how humans progress but I can&#x

Sometimes, but very rarely, we do create WIP (Work In Progress) branches so we can push the code to the server. But the idea we follow is to integrate with master a fast as possible ideally with several commits per day. I used to be a fan o

If your devs are creating shitty commits in the first place maybe you are facing a completely different problem, don't you think? We only push to master after rebasing locally which has worked out well for us for several years. Every c

I would suggest to always put yourself in the shoes of the developers when you make decisions as a leader. Think about what you would have thought as a dev. Also try always to explain why you make the decisions you make. I am a dev and I ha
