I agree that ads aren't a great solution, but the entire reason Mozilla is doing things like that is to avoid having all their revenue (and thus their existence) dependent on Google. How else do you think they should make money? It

Why do you even allow donations to "non-verified" websites at all? As far as I can tell, there really isn't any legitimate reason for this, other than forcing website owners to sign up for your payment system.

Chromium is an incredibly complex codebase, and they change their internal API's quite rapidly, so upgrading is a lot more difficult than you would guess. For example, this is what it took for Electron to upgrade from Chromium 69 to 70

Sort of off-topic, but there seems to be a bug with the way search results work. If I click on "search", it shows me an option for "<my city name> nearby", but if I click on that, I get results for a city that has

There's an addon that emulates pinch zoom, it does a pretty good job: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/multi-touch-z... . I agree this should be implemented natively though.

If you think the services the Apple app store provides are worth the price increase, then you as an individual consumer could choose to buy apps just from that store. Or you could buy an app directly from the developer, whom you presumably

Apple heavily discounts the top case replacement if the reason for replacing it is the battery, so the actual cost is between $130-200 [1]. I'm not sure what they do if your top case has other damage as well - if you break something in

DuckDuckGo has a deal with Yandex to display search results from them on some searches. If you search for something in Russian, you'll see a "in partnership with Yandex" message in the corner of the search results page.

The problem here is that you have to pay the fee, even if you think it isn't reasonable. I have no idea if 30% is a reasonable fee to charge or not, and because no one is allowed to compete with Apple, there's no way to find out.

Depending on how this is set up, this would be a huge disadvantage to smaller websites, though. In order to make any money, you'd have to make contracts with each individual ISP, and if they decided they didn't like your content,
