The American Empire never existed, because it never could. The US made the explicit decision not to occupy the defeated forces after WWII, save for strategic forces in place to protect the interests of the host countries. The US opened

Facebook has entered this weird statistical zone where “if you don’t have a Facebook account by now you’re probably a scammer.” I deleted my facebook account in 2015 and then tried to sign up again also when I had stuff to sell, they couldn

It’s pretty much going in the US exactly how George Washington predicted. “[Political factions] are likely, in the course of time and things, to become potent engines by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subv

This is my hope, too. But also I fear the transition is going to be ugly. Personally I feel lucky that I’m not just starting out my life — I already have high quality stuff.

>Why would they want to make it seem like they are forcing you to watch ads? Defaults are powerful. They want people to believe that's just how their TV works now, because it's a hassle to buy a new TV.

When someone writes something that they know is not true, it's called being deceptive. Vizio wrote this: >Q: Can I turn Scenic Mode ads off? A: No, not at this time.

All I want is Spatial Audio with head tracking that doesn't have audio drop outs, an issue that has been there from the start and never fixed. At this point I'll give up the wireless aspect for it.
