Veni, Vidi, Vici !!! Settlers II was one of my all time favorites! I even bought the 10th anniversary edition and played it in Virtualbox (Mac user here) all over again. Settlers III was just as good but IV felt a bit too “messy” (it’s the

I know it may sound silly but I really like that they’re still sticking with the Toy Story characters! Although I cannot say I even remember Bookworm (Debian 12).

Yes! This is my pet peeve! There are so many studies and sources that, if taken out of context and pointed correctly, can be used to support your claim. Now combine with the good old “you don’t know what you don’t know” and you have a great

Wow, lol. I usually pick up on satire. It’s just …it’s 2020-ish and it looked very aligned with various edgy opinions.

It’s borderline comical to read such strong opinions about how to version your software. “One shall not speak of 1.0!” (Not an actual quote). If 0ver works for your use case, go with it, by all means. It’s sortable (“nat-sortable” to be mor

Apple’s ability and dedication to over-engineer products amazes me (in both positive and negative way. But mostly positive..). I wonder what was the estimated MSRP on this one. $299?

by 404mm 5y ago
Yes. I even tried restoring some settings to default. It survived reboots too.

You mentioned the interference with touch screens. Long time ago I accidentally purchased one Apple power supply from Amazon and I assume it was a counterfeit. I remember not being able to control the iphone because touches were misaligned

I’m on the side that mostly dislikes touch bar (although my opinion is nowhere that extreme. Slight preference at best). But I tell you what, it was the first time in my 30 years of being around computers that I had to reinstall the OS bec

This explanation infuriates me so much. They use technical terms and true technologies to lie about their security issues and measures. Flash memory should easily withstand north of 10k write/erase cycles, base on type. Even if there

Unless you’re in an environment where you literally have to type or provide the decrypting key on each start, you are dealing with a situation where your provider has both the encrypted data and the encryption key.

I’m surprised that this doesn’t happen more often. With drone technologies advancing so fast, it was truly inevitable. The next step is just to use the right coat to become invisible to radars and you’re GTG. Unless that’s already happening

AFAIK, TextWrangler has been discontinued in favor of BBEdit. On another note, I just found out that the Notes feature is indeed Premium one. Hmmm.

Lol! Same here. I want them to have some paid lite mode, that I could purchase and support them. Given my use case I feel like $40 is a bit much but I’d gladly pay $20 for a note taking app.

“abruptly” ha! Gotta love the news. Given the size of 777X, I doubt it was really abrupt. That thing is huge! On a more serious note, the message didn’t seem to clarify the “abruptness” of the pitch. That word did not need to be added.

I started my Python journey in Atom with some plugins, mainly using pylama. It was pretty decent and I still use it for ad-how code changes. When I work on anything more complex, I just switch over to pycharm because it also helps my brain

This is pretty mind blowing. I’m barely grasping the idea of being capable of manufacturing something _this_ small. But reversing the process is straight up there with unscrambling eggs. Just wow.
