Is there any reason for why the FPGA couldn't just be replaced with for example an on-device generic ARM SoC like an RPi pico/nano doing the same in software? Or is that how far your purism in anti-emulation goes? (;

I recall making comments to that effect and maintain the stance. Though I've had more long-lived and complex setups with Manjaro so it's not entirely a fair comparison. ~1y in on Endeavour.

Seems relatively clear to me after reading the "Why" and "How" sections and liked issues. They don't mention Gitea/Forgejo specifically but I assume the idea is to use compatible semantics. What are you missing

If you want to make a better and simpler alternative that's quicker to write, nobody will stop you, I think. PR will probably be appreciated.

One thing I find wild in EU is that apparently adding alcohol to a drink obviates the need for a nutrition label. A can of coke needs to declare its sugar content but no need for the precanned Jack&Coke from the same supermarket fridge.

Bah. There's an implicit leading 0 there. So at one point we'll just roll over to version 100.2 or whatever. As with months, so with years.
