Interesting but I disagree. Basically the entire Old Testament is edited and to enforce a certain interpretation of the Israelites' history, namely that turning away from God caused bad things to happen. It has a fairly consistent and

the obvious counter this argument is that companies could create a competing version that tastes the same as a competitors product, similar to what coke and pepsi do.

CSS is not consistent and complete like a programming language. As someone else mentioned, doing things the correct way in CSS (responsive, cross-browser) is actually very hard, and often requires memorizing weird hacks.

Where I work you put a jira id in the commit message and it will automatically put a link to the commit in the jira ticket. And a jira ticket can link to multiple commits across multiple repos.

So disingenuously humor the client for a day or two before shooting their idea. Honestly, if I was your client and this happened a few times, I would start to wonder why you lack the expertise to immediately know ideas won't work.

This is a lot of fun. I'm currently in the top 100. It's all about quick knockout punches. It's interesting how people will very often leave you alone if you don't attack them.

IMO there's not that much you have to learn to cover the fundamentals of programming: variables, arrays, control statements, and functions. When I've worked with deficient programmers in the past, they seem to struggle on this lev

Setting variables. "Hey Siri, set my favorite color to green" "Hey Siri, what is my favorite color" I think it could have a lot of uses, mostly for remembering things.

I've heard the quote about design patterns making up for the lack of features in a language. I've always been a little confused by it. Can you give me a good example of a language feature that removes the need for a design pattern

Oftentimes when you get assigned a task there is another similar part of the codebase you can use as an example for what to do. Try to understand what the code is doing and go from there.
